Grammy-winning Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo has announced the release of her upcoming album, Hope, featuring collaborations with several global and African music stars.

Kidjo revealed the project on social media on Wednesday, noting that the 14-track album will be released on April 24, 2026.

According to the singer, the album was developed over five years and holds personal significance as it is dedicated to her late mother, Yvonne, who died five years ago.

The album features collaborations with some Nigerian artists like Davido, Ayra Starr and highlife duo The Cavemen.

Sharing the announcement, the veteran musician said the project reflects her belief in resilience and optimism for the future.

“Five years in the making, my new album Hope is dedicated to my mother Yvonne,” she wrote. “She taught me that every dream I had could be accomplished and that hope for a better future is what makes us human.”

The album also features contributions from international music stars including Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Quavo and Charlie Wilson.

Other artistes appearing on the project include French singers Florent Pagny and Dadju, Congolese star Fally Ipupa, Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, Brazilian artist Iza and American musician PJ Morton. The Soweto Gospel Choir also appears on the album.
