On Friday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State passed a vote of confidence in President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s leadership, in his quest to enhance the quality of life of the Sokoto people and the nation at large.
The state APC chairman Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida disclosed this at a news conference held at the party secretariat in the state capital today
He said the people of Sokoto state have multiple reasons to thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, including “vindicating us and our party leader senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako, and his son, our amiable, dynamic, indefatigable Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto,” says Achida.
“I wish to seize this opportunity to thank and celebrate President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for honouring Sokoto People with two Ministerial positions in his recent Cabinet reshuffle.
“Mr president has practically demonstrated his love and consideration for those who toiled towards the success of the APC at the presidential polls, ” It is also an indication of his confidence in the leadership qualities of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako and our courageous Governor who is positively transforming Sokoto state “
“We are confident that, the policies of the Federal Government under the able leadership of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu will take Nigeria to greater heights.
“The recent Flags-Off and groundbreaking of the 1068Kms Superhighways held in the state is aimed at further connecting our nation, enhancing our infrastructure, and creating more opportunities for our people.”
According to him Federal Government is also undertaking other development projects in Sokoto state notably the Sokoto-Gusau -Zaria road, and the federal housing projects amongst many others.
He said the recent appointment of Muhammadu Maigari Dongyadi as Minister of labour and employment and the redeployment of Barrister Bello Mohammed Goronyo to the federal Ministry of Works as Minister of state speaks volumes of the president’s high esteem to which he holds Sokoto state.
“The president has shamed our detractors and reinforced our belief that he is a man of honour who always stands by his true friends,” Says Sokoto APC chairman.
“We have passed votes of confidence on Mr. President, Sen Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako, and our young dynamic Governor Ahmed Aliyu,” Achida averred.
