The Council Chairman of Malam Madori, Salisu sani Garin-Gabas, has fulfilled the promise made shortly after receiving a demand from the people of Matsa village in Arki ward.
This follows the submission of their demand on the construction of a soil river embankment that will prevent river flood along the Hadejià River axis where millions of farmlands are devastated as a result of annual floods.
A native of the area, seasonal farmer, Muhammad Sani, said farmers lost their farm products due to the early flood that submerged hectares of farmlands in the area.
“The construction of the soil embankment will provide opportunities for farmers to invest more in the area without doubt,” he added.
At the commencement of the river embankment at Matsa village in Arki ward, the Council Chairman, Salisu sani Garin-Gabas, said he is ready to sacrifice their time and resources for the betterment of the people under his Jurisdiction.
He added that his door is always open to meaningful advice that uplifts the local Government forward in accordance with the complement of the 12-point agenda of Governor Umar Namadi’s administration.
