Over 23,000 To Benefits From FG Cash Transfer In Jigawa

Over 23,000 women and youth were registered to receive N75,000 under the federal government Cash Transfer Program for empowerment and cushioning the effects of fuel subsidy removal.

Flagging off the ceremony on Thursday for the distribution of the enrollment card held in Dutse capital, Jigawa state Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, said the program was part of a series of Federal Government interventions designed to uplift the socioeconomic life of Nigerians.

Governor Namadi noted that the “Renewal Hope” agenda of President Bola Ahmad Tinibu has a multi-sectoral approach and cash transfer in one of it, therefore he charged the beneficiaries to make best use of the grant.

“I know many of the beneficiaries have already received their alert, so if the alert you received is below N75,000 please be patient, you will get the balance, and I warned you against giving a single Kobo to any of the facilitators, the state has adequately taken care of all logistics expenditure.

“We know N75,000 is enough capital for food vendors and other related pity businesses in which most of our rural women and youth engaged, so please use the money to transform your life for the better, ” Governor Namadi Charged the beneficiaries.

He however revealed that Jigawa state has been reflecting and cascading federal government social security projects including J-Teach, Cash transfer, and Homegrown Feeding among others.

In his speech the Jigawa State Coordinator of National Social Investment, Comrade Mustapha Umar, said the beneficiaries were registered from across the 27 local government areas of the state.

He noted that the disbursement has gone through and their staff are working around the clock to attend the beneficiaries including those with technical challenges in their bank account.
