Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has sworn in Dr. Olufemi Bolarin as Commissioner for Livestock Development, charging him to drive innovation, create jobs, and unlock the sector’s untapped potential.

The swearing-in, held during the State Executive Council meeting in Lokoja, underscored Governor Ododo’s resolve to diversify the state’s economy and strengthen its agricultural backbone.

In his address, the governor highlighted the ministry’s strategic role in ensuring food security, boosting rural livelihoods, and attracting investment.

He urged Dr. Bolarin to work hand-in-hand with farmers, herders, and private sector players to transform the livestock industry into a major engine of growth.

“I have no doubt that your dedication and track record will help harness the vast resources in this sector for the benefit of our people,” Ododo said.

Responding, Dr. Bolarin expressed gratitude for the appointment and pledged to serve with diligence, transparency, and results-driven focus.

The Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade Arike, also congratulated him, urging collaboration and unity in advancing the administration’s vision.
