As Jigawa state local government council elections scheduled for 5th October 2023 draw closer, Governor Umar Namadi has received hundreds of decampees from the People Democratic Party (PDP) and New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Party (APC).

Governor Namadi received the decampee during the APC Zonal campaign held in the Gumel local government area.

Speaking at the Northwest Senatorial District Zonal Campaign, Governor Namadii described the huge gathering as a manifestation of the satisfaction and confidence the people of the zone have in APC and his government.

“I am impressed with the large turnout of APC members and good people of Jigawa state to our Gumel Zonal campaign, I hope you will also come out in mass to vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming 5th October local government council election in the state.

“For those who decamped to APC today to appreciate the development project and program we have been doing in the state we assured them that APC will continue to work for the improvement of social and economic life of Jigawa state people and Nigeria at large,” he stated.

However, Governor Namadi urged residents to support his government and the federal government to liberate the citizens from the current social and economic challenges.

In his speech at the occasion, the State Deputy Chairman, Nasiru Jahun, told the gathering that the 12-point agenda of Governor Umar Namadi has already started yielding fruitful results, maintaining that electing APC candidates at all the 27 local governments of the state will enhance the implementation of the agenda design to make Jigawa state prosperous and Great.

At the rally, flags were presented to 12 APC Chairmanship candidates of the Senatorial zone.
