Kwara State Government has handed over newly constructed and renovated school infrastructure to various communities across the state, reinforcing its dedication to improving public education and creating a conducive learning environment for students.

At a handover ceremony held at ECWA Secondary School, Wokowomu in Omu-Aran, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, formally presented two renovated classroom blocks fully furnished with desks and chairs.

He emphasized the state’s continued prioritization of education infrastructure under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

“No meaningful learning can occur in dilapidated or unsuitable environments. Governor AbdulRazaq’s administration remains fully committed to providing public school students with facilities that enhance academic excellence,” Dr. Olohungbebe said.

Across the state, several schools benefited from similar upgrades:

Olokuta Senior Secondary School, Anfeyinoja received a new three-classroom block with an office, a two-room toilet facility, and a motorised borehole powered by a generator.

Community leaders, including the Mogaji of Anfeyinoja, Alhaji Usman Jimoh, and Dr. Samuel Ogundele Olayemi, who represented the proprietor of ECWA School, commended Governor AbdulRazaq’s administration for what they described as a purposeful drive to revamp the education sector. They offered prayers for the governor’s continued success.
