Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, has donated N30m to the Kauran Gwandu Model Primary School Old Boys Association.
He disclosed this on Wednesday when the old boys association of the school organized an event in honour of the Governor.
Speaking at the event, which was held at the premises of the school, the Governor commended the leadership of the Old Boys Association for their outstanding support towards his administration.
“I am not going to forget you people, and I want you people to support APC administration both at the top and down,” he added.
He further stated that his administration has constructed 333 new schools and renovated 1,816 schools across the state in less than two years.
The Governor, an alumnus of the school, assured that his administration would never toy with anything that would improve the state’s standard of education.
He said the state government was providing education to its citizens free to ensure that every child was educated and assured that citizens of Kebbi State studying in different tertiary institutions across Nigeria and abroad were being taken care of through scholarships, both foreign and local.
To boost the morale of students studying in boarding schools across the state, the governor said, his administration had increased school feeding from N175 million to N300 million.
