The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient pilgrimage process as it continues to issue yellow cards to intending pilgrims.

The Director-General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, gave the assurance on Monday after a courtesy visit to the Port Health Services office in Kano.

Speaking after the meeting, Matawalle said that following discussions with the Kano State Coordinator of Port Health Services, arrangements have been put in place to ensure that this year’s yellow card issuance process will be well-organized and seamless, unlike previous exercises.

He explained that the Board has made strategic preparations in collaboration with Port Health Services to ensure that all intending pilgrims are properly processed and issued their yellow cards without difficulty.

The Director-General further assured pilgrims of the Board’s commitment to delivering prompt and efficient services throughout the exercise.

Earlier, the Kano State Coordinator of Port Health Services, Patrick Achenneje, described the visit as timely and significant, expressing appreciation for the collaboration.

He pledged the full support of his office, assuring that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure the smooth and timely processing of yellow cards.

The Board, therefore, urged all intending pilgrims to cooperate with officials and comply with all required procedures to facilitate a hitch-free exercise.
