Comrade Najeeb Nasir Ibrahim

Following the conclusion of recent important political gatherings, the time has come to sit down and conduct a thorough review of how political and governmental affairs are being managed in Kano State.

This is a moment that calls for careful reflection and reassessment in order to ensure that the government fully benefits from the contributions of all committed politicians and political activists who played significant roles in securing the success of this administration.

In politics, victory is rarely the work of one individual alone. Success is usually the product of collective effort, the dedication, time, and expertise of many individuals who worked tirelessly to achieve a common goal.

In the course of Kano’s political journey, many individuals made meaningful contributions to the success of His Excellency, the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

However, due to certain circumstances that arose during the formation of the government, some of these individuals have not yet been given the opportunity to contribute fully within the framework of governance.

Now is the time to revisit this matter with wisdom and foresight. Politics in Kano is highly dynamic and competitive.

For any leader seeking lasting success in his administration, it is important to invite competent, trustworthy, and experienced people who understand politics and are committed to public service.

This observation is not intended to undermine the efforts of those currently serving in government. On the contrary, it is a call to broaden cooperation and inclusiveness so that the administration can fully harness the expertise and experience of all those who genuinely care about the progress of Kano State.

Indeed, when one observes the developmental initiatives being implemented under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, it becomes clear that progress is being made in several sectors that directly impact the lives of the people.

The ongoing infrastructural and social development projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving the welfare of the citizens. This is something every well-meaning citizen of Kano should appreciate.

Nevertheless, politics also requires strategic foresight. As political dynamics continue to evolve, there is always a need to prepare for future challenges.

With the 2027 elections gradually approaching, it becomes increasingly important to strengthen unity and utilize the experience and capacity of all politically conscious individuals who are committed to the success of Kano.

Closing the door to certain stakeholders or restricting access to the government may weaken political cohesion.

In contrast, opening the door to experienced and capable individuals will strengthen the administration and reinforce the pursuit of its objectives.

At times, genuine loyalty to a government requires acknowledging that others may possess greater expertise in certain areas.

Giving such individuals the opportunity to serve can introduce fresh ideas and innovative strategies that will further strengthen the administration.

Ultimately, what the people of Kano desire is continued development and improvement in their standard of living.

There is no doubt that the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has already begun moving in that direction.

However, for this progress to become stronger and more sustainable, it is essential to promote unity and inclusiveness by engaging competent political actors who share a genuine commitment to the advancement of Kano State.

If this approach is embraced, it will not only strengthen the current administration but will also ensure that Kano continues to remain a leading example of progressive and people-centered politics.
