IPSS Commends Amb Waiya’s Groundbreaking Accountability, Good Governance Initiative

The International Peace and Secure Society (IPSS) has commended Kano State Commissioner Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs, Hon. Amb. Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya for his groundbreaking initiative on ‘Citizens Engagement.’

IPSS commendation was contained in a statement issued on Friday by its Director General, Comr. (Dr.) Yahaya Danjuma Yusuf.

According to the statement, the planned launch of the “Kano Citizens Platform” is a bold step towards fostering transparency, openness, and accountability in governance.

“This platform will undoubtedly facilitate direct interaction between government functionaries and the public, providing citizens with a voice and opportunities to engage with the governor directly.

“As a renowned civil society activist, his commitment to boosting rapport with journalists and providing training and technical support to online media is commendable.

“His emphasis on fighting fake news and misinformation is crucial for the benefit of society.”

Amb. Waiya’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and good governance remain commendable and a testament to his commitment to the people of Kano State, the statement added.
