England captain Harry Kane says his desire to return to the Premier League has diminished and that he is open to discussing a new contract with Bayern Munich.

Kane, who joined the German champions from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for £86.4 million, is halfway through his four-year deal.

The 32-year-old has been in remarkable form, scoring 103 goals in 106 appearances and helping Bayern win the 2024–25 Bundesliga title for the first major trophy of his career.

Despite Tottenham manager Thomas Frank expressing hope that Kane would one day return to England to chase Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal record, he is just 48 goals shy of the 260-goal milestone, the striker admits his priorities have shifted.

“In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that,” Kane said.

“I haven’t had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they arise, I’d be happy to talk.

“It depends on how the next year goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I’m fully focused on Bayern.”

Reflecting on a potential return to England, Kane said his enthusiasm for it has waned.

“If you’d asked me when I first left for Bayern, I would have said for sure I’d come back. Now, after a couple of years, that feeling has gone down a bit though I’d never say never.

Opportunities come at different times, but at the moment, I’m all in with Bayern.”

Kane, who remains Tottenham and England’s all-time leading scorer, also became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club in Europe’s top five leagues achieving the feat in just 104 games.

Winning his first trophy with Bayern last season, Kane said, has only increased his hunger for success.

“When you win a title, it could be easy to say, ‘I’ve done what I wanted to achieve.’ But it’s actually made me want more,” he said.

“I was curious how I’d feel after winning my first one, but it’s pushed me to be even better — eating cleaner, training harder, and trying to get the most out of myself.”

Kane added that he remains motivated to chase bigger trophies with Bayern as he enters the second half of his contract, reaffirming his commitment to the club and its ambitions.
