As part of ongoing efforts to implement the 5-kilometer road projects, Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, today flagged off the construction of a 5-kilometer road project in Kunchi town, Ghari Local Government Area.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano.
According to the statement, the Governor noted that the project was initiated during the second tenure of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso to develop rural communities but was abandoned by the immediate past administration.
The Governor expressed his appreciation to the people for their patience, support, and cooperation, and instructed the contractor handling the project to mobilize to the site within one week.
He warned that failure to do so would compel the government to terminate the contract.
Before flagging off the 5-kilometer road project, Governor Yusuf, in the company of his deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, and other members of the State Executive Council, commissioned a township road in Yandadi town.
The Governor’s entourage also inspected the Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies, Ghari.
He assured the public of the Kano State Government’s readiness to provide all necessary infrastructure to ensure academic activities at the College continue without interruption.
