Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced the allocation of plots of land to each Kwankwasiyya Marshal in recognition of their exceptional support for his administration before, during, and after the recent elections.

This announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary and Governor’s Deputy Spokesman, Mustapha Muhammad, following an Iftar (breaking of the fast) event with the Marshals at the Government House, Kano, on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the Governor clarified that the allocated plots of land were sourced from government-owned land, not from public properties, as was allegedly done by the immediate past administration.

In addition to the land allocation, Governor Yusuf also provided Hajj seats for each group of Kwankwasiyya Marshals to enable them to perform the 2025 pilgrimage.

Furthermore, he announced the provision of brand-new Hilux vehicles to aid the Marshals in effectively discharging their duties.

Governor Yusuf thanked the Kwankwasiyya Marshals for their dedication and swift response in safeguarding the administration and its followers from unforeseen challenges.

He assured them that they remain integral to the administration and would continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

Speaking earlier, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Marshals, Hon. Isa Musa Kumurya, praised the administration for its fairness and inclusivity.

He commended Governor Yusuf for extending the benefits of democracy to the Marshals, just as it has been extended to other citizens.

In his remarks, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Marshals, Alhaji Babangida (IBB), shared a success story of a motorcycle beneficiary under Governor Yusuf’s administration.

The beneficiary reportedly sold the motorcycle, purchased a plot of land, and subsequently leased it to MTN for its service antenna, earning six million naira (N6,000,000) over two years.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser on Youths, Alhaji Sani Danja, highlighted Governor Yusuf’s unique position in Kano’s history as a leader whose citizens prayed for his success without receiving any financial inducements.

He prayed for God Almighty to continue guiding and supporting the administration in serving the people to the best of its ability.
