The Emir of Gwandu, retired Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Iliyasu-Bashar has urged his subjects to sustain the prevailing peace in the state.
The Monarch made this known in a statement by Laminu Shehu-Kuwwa, Secretary Sebbi State Council of Chiefs, to Newsmen on Friday in Birnin Kebbi.
The statement explained activities to be carried out on Eid-el-Kabir on Sunday, 10th of Dhul-Hajj 1445 After Hijrah equivalent to June 16, 2024.
Shehu-Kuwwa said the Emir would leave his palace at about 8:45 a.m. for Central Eid Praying Ground, Birnin Kebbi on Sunday morning.
He added that by 8:50a.m the Emir is expected to arrive at the Mosque, adding that the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Sen. Umar Abubakar-Tafida is expected to arrive at the Mosque at about 8:55a.m while prayer would commence by 9:00 a.m
According to the Secretary, the Emir would address his subjects by 9:20 a.m. and slaughter his sacrificial ram at about 9:30 a.m
Shehu-Kuwwa maintained that the Emir would leave the Eid Praying Ground for his palace, Abdullahi Gwandu Palace for a special prayer for the emirate, Kebbi State, Nigeria as well as the entire Muslim Ummah at about 9:40 a.m
He added that the Deputy Governor, Sen. Abubakar Tafiadan Kabi, is expected to join the prayer session and would be led by the Sole Administrator, Birnin Kebbi, Ibrahim Bashar, Galadiman Gwandu, Sadiq Ibrahim-Saad, Ubandoman Gwandu, Maj.-Nasiru Mohammed-Badhar, Baraden Gwandu alongside Kebbi State Government officials.
