Foundations Organise One-day Sensitisation on Health Education in Kaugama

To promote healthy fasting ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, the Alfa Babadede Foundation, with support from the Kaugama Local Government Council and the Widi Jalo Foundation, organised a one-day sensitisation program on health education at Yelleman Hausawa Primary School.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Alfa Babadede Charity Foundation, Dr. Hauwa’u Shehu Umar, presented a paper titled “Healthy Fasting During Ramadan: Staying Safe, Strong, and Hydrated.” In her address,

Dr. Hauwa’u advised the Muslim Ummah to avoid eating fried and salty foods during Ramadan in order to stay healthy and strong.

In her religious lecture, Malama Adama Abubakar Ustaza spoke on the importance of personal sanitation for spiritual purification, safety, and proper worship.

She further urged mothers to teach their children, so they may grow up with obedience and learn how to worship in accordance with Islamic law and order.

In her presentation, health practitioner Amina Sabo encouraged both males and females to adopt the culture of personal hygiene and to keep their environment clean.

She further urged participants to cultivate good hygiene habits for safer and healthier lives.

The wife of the Jigawa State Governor, Ambassador Dr. Amina Umar Namadi, encouraged women to visit hospitals for counselling and screening against cervical cancer.

She also commended the foundations and the Chairman of Kaugama Local Government for their efforts in organising the health education awareness programme.

In her vote of thanks, the wife of the Kaugama Local Government Chairman, Hajiya Fatimah Usman Masaki Dansule, appreciated the participants for honouring the invitation to attend the sensitisation campaign.
