On Wednesday, at 3:49 a.m., the fifth flight conveying Kano State pilgrims departed from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport to Madina International Airport, carrying 524 pilgrims.
The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, expressed his joy over the successful airlift of the pilgrims, all of whom were in good health. He also offered prayers for continued peace and stability in Kano State and Nigeria at large.
The Board’s spokesperson, Sulaiman A. Dederi, in a statement, said the fifth flight included pilgrims from the following seven Local Government Areas: Gwarzo, Kiru, Shanono, Tudun Wada, Doguwa, Garum Mallam, and Bebeji.
According to the statement, the pilgrims were airlifted by Max Air from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport at exactly 3:49 a.m. en route to Madina International Airport.
The flight conveyed a total of 524 pilgrims, comprising 128 females and 396 males.
