The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has applauded Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his administration’s unwavering commitment to education, healthcare, agriculture, and security, describing his efforts as transformative and impactful.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin, on Tuesday

The emir made the remarks on Tuesday when he led members of the Kano Emirate Council on the traditional Sallah homage to the governor at the Government House, Kano.

“We have come to pay our Sallah homage and to commend you for the outstanding work you are doing, especially in education and agriculture. Your commitment to subsidizing modern farming implements has greatly supported our farmers, and your investment in education is shaping the future of our youth,” the emir stated.

He expressed gratitude for witnessing another Sallah celebration and extended his appreciation to the Kano State House of Assembly for their commitment to restoring order and stability within the Emirate Council.

Emir Sanusi also urged local government chairmen to emulate the governor’s leadership by actively engaging in developmental projects and being accountable to the people.

“As those closest to the people, it is your responsibility to ensure good governance, transparency, and impactful service delivery,” he advised.

The emir reaffirmed his support for the governor’s vision and encouraged continued collaboration between the government and traditional institutions to ensure sustainable development and progress in Kano State.
