The Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Ghana, as well as to the families of the victims, following the tragic death of eight individuals in a military helicopter crash on Monday.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Kano Emirate and the people of Kano, the Emir described the incident as a profound loss not only for Ghana, but also for Nigeria and the wider West African community.
“With deep sympathy, I extend my condolences to the Government of Ghana, the bereaved families, and to you personally, over the demise of the eight individuals killed in the military helicopter crash,” the statement read.
“Indeed, this is a loss not only to Ghana, but to us, your brothers and sisters in Nigeria.”
The Emir prayed for the souls of the departed to rest in perfect peace and asked Allah to grant the families, and the nation as a whole, the strength to bear the tragedy.
“May their souls rest in perfect peace, and may Allah give us the fortitude to endure this great loss,” he added.
The crash has drawn a wave of condolences from across the region, underscoring the bonds of solidarity and shared grief among West African nations in moments of tragedy.
