Dr. Makoda Extends Warm Wishes to Children on Children’s Day

... Reaffirms government commitment to provision of quality education

The Kano State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, has congratulated children in the state on the 2025 Children’s Day celebration, reaffirming the government’s commitment to promoting child welfare through quality education.

In a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, Dr. Makoda highlighted the importance of education to the life of children.

According to the statement, Dr. Makoda noted that education plays a vital role in the life of children, offering numerous benefits that shape their future and contribute to the development of society

He encouraged parents and other communities members to work together to ensure that children have access to quality education, as government is implementing programmes aimed at improving basic and post basic education in the state.

The statement however, called on the children to make good use of the period to celebrate and acknowledge their importance and future potential as leaders of tomorrow.

“While celebrating the day, I urged you to recognize the fact that you are the future leaders and contributors to the nation’s growth and development.

“So, the administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf is highly committed to promoting the well-being of children through the provision of quality education.”

Children’s Day in Nigeria is celebrated on May 27th to honor the country’s children, raise awareness about their rights, and promote their well-being and education.
