The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori as its Acting National Chairman following the resignation of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Ganduje stepped down on Friday amid growing internal pressure and dissatisfaction with his leadership.
He who took over the role in August 2023 after Abdullahi Adamu’s resignation had faced persistent criticism over his leadership style and the party’s internal disunity.
Party sources say his resignation is part of a broader strategy to restore stability and strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Until a new substantive chairman is elected at the party’s national convention in December, one of the national vice chairmen will temporarily fill the role.
