In a historic religious event, approximately 150 people in Takai town, Kano State, embraced Islam under the guidance of His Highness, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.

The mass conversion happened during the inauguration of a Friday Mosque and an Islamic School established by the Ganduje Foundation in Samar, Takai Local Government Area.

According to Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Chief Press Secretary to the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero led the converts to recite the Shahada (the Word of Martyrdom).

This act officially welcomed them into the Islamic faith. The event underscored the Emir’s commitment to fostering religious growth and unity across the region.

While addressing the converts, the Emir urged them to fully embrace Islamic laws and practices, emphasizing the tenets of Islam.

He highlighted their obligations, including establishing daily prayers (Salah), fasting during Ramadan, paying Zakat, and undertaking the pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj) when possible.

The Emir also reassured the new converts of their equal standing within the Islamic community, stating, “From the moment you accepted the Word of Martyrdom, you became the same as every Muslim.”

This message of inclusion resonated strongly with the audience and reinforced the universality of Islamic teachings.

He appealed to the Ganduje Foundation to deploy qualified Islamic scholars and teachers to educate the new Muslims.

The Emir stressed the importance of providing them with the knowledge to practice their faith effectively and worship Allah according to Islamic principles.

In his remarks, the Emir commended the Ganduje Foundation’s Da’awa Committee for its relentless efforts in spreading the message of Islam across Kano State and beyond.

He recognized their contributions as a significant step toward religious enlightenment and growth in the region.

The Emir encouraged the Da’awa Committee to sustain their efforts, reminding them of the divine rewards awaiting those who dedicate themselves to advancing the cause of Islam.

“Your reward is with Allahu Almighty, who has promised to bless all those who work to support His religion,” he said.
