The Kano State Police Command has returned two additional recovered stolen vehicles to their rightful owners as part of efforts to combat vehicle theft and strengthen public confidence in the police.

The recovered properties, comprising an orange Vibe motor vehicle and an ash-coloured Haojue motorcycle, were handed over to their owners at the Command Headquarters in Bompai, Kano, following intelligence-led operations.

The Command disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday by its spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

According to the statement, the handover followed the completion of necessary verification procedures, authentication of ownership documents and proper documentation.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the police for recovering their properties, commending the officers for their professionalism, dedication and commitment to justice.

They described the recovery and prompt return of their vehicles as evidence of a responsive and people-friendly police service.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, congratulated the owners on the recovery of their properties, saying the development aligned with the policing vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

The vision, according to the statement, emphasises the protection of lives and property, the restoration of stolen belongings to crime victims and the promotion of public trust through transparent and accountable service delivery.

Bakori reassured residents that the Command remained committed to making Kano State safe and secure, adding that all recovered stolen properties would be returned to their legitimate owners after due verification.

The Command also encouraged members of the public seeking further information to contact the Investigation Police Officer on 08140081608 or visit the office of the Police Public Relations Officer at the Bompai Police Headquarters in Kano.
