Kano State Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo, on Saturday, served as the marriage guardian (Waliyyi) at the wedding of Fatima Shehu Aliyu, daughter of Hon. Shehu Aliyu Ungogo, former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano Central.
The wedding ceremony took place at the residence of the former APC chairman in Ungogo Local Government area and attracted family members, friends, political associates, and well-wishers who gathered to witness the solemnization of the marriage.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Governor formally gave out the bride in marriage, offering prayers for a peaceful, successful, and enduring union, a statement by Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu, Public Relations Officer, Deputy Governor’s Office, disclosed.
Garo also urged the couple to build their home on the principles of mutual respect, understanding, patience, and fear of God.
In a related development, the Deputy Governor also served as marriage guardian at the wedding of Aisha Uba Muhammad Danbayye, daughter of Hon. Uba Danbayye Ajingi, a Chieftain of the APC in Kano State
The wedding solemnization, held at the residence of the former council chairman of Ajingi local Government joined Aisha Uba Muhammad and Ibrahim Bala Abubakar in holy matrimony in the presence of relatives, community leaders, and dignitaries from across the state.
Speaking at the event, Garo congratulated the families of the bride and groom and prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the newly married couple.
He emphasized the importance of marriage as a sacred institution and encouraged the couple to uphold the values of love, tolerance, and responsibility in their new home.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor paid a sympathy visit to Alhaji Ibrahim Sale, former Chairman of Tarauni Local Government Area, who is currently receiving treatment following an illness at his residence in unguwa uku quarters in Tarauni local Government area.
During the visit, the Deputy Governor expressed concern over the former chairman’s health condition and offered prayers for his quick recovery.
