The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has announced that preparations for the 2026 Hajj visa processing are set to commence soon.

He called on all intending pilgrims who are yet to submit their international passports to do so without delay, warning that the deadline for submission is fast approaching.

According to him, the timely submission of travel documents is crucial to ensuring a smooth and hitch-free visa processing exercise.

Danbappa made the call on Wednesday during the official flag-off of the Weekly Hajj Induction Course Exercise at the School for Arabic Studies, Kano.

He explained that, in line with Saudi Arabian Hajj requirements, Hajj visas for 2026 will be linked to pilgrims’ medical certificates and the Nusuk platform.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Yusuf Lawan, urged intending pilgrims to remain committed and consistent in attending the induction courses. He noted that the exercise is designed to properly enlighten pilgrims on Hajj rites, rules, and expected conduct.

Lawan added that regular participation in the induction program would enhance pilgrims’ understanding and contribute to a successful and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience.
