The Chairman of the Kano State Community Re-Orientation Council (CRC), Shakur Yassar, has announced that 600 women are benefiting from the ongoing poultry farming training at the Takui Dambatta Training Institute.

Represented by the Secretary of the State CRC, Malam Nura Ishaq, Yassar disclosed during a supervisory visit to the institute.

He commended the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his continued commitment to empowering underprivileged individuals, particularly women and youths.

The CRC Chairman lauded the state government for reviving the Takui Poultry Farming Training Centre, which had remained dormant since the administration of Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

He urged participants to take full advantage of the opportunity and apply the knowledge gained to improve their livelihoods.

In his remarks, the Director of the Takui Training Institute, Dr. Shehu Aliyu Yahuza, stated that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had provided all necessary facilities to ensure the comfort and welfare of trainees, including access to medical care, social support, and daily meals.

Dr. Shehu further explained that the four-week training program is designed to equip 600 women with modern poultry management skills and best practices aimed at maintaining a bird flu–free environment.

The supervisory visit was attended by CRC Chairmen from Sumaila, Gwale, Warawa, Tarauni, and other local government areas, alongside members of the press and other stakeholders.
