The Local Education Authority (LEA) in Malam Madori Local Government Area of Jigawa State has commended the council chairman, Hon. Salisu Sani Garun Gabas, for his continued support toward improving the education sector in the area.
The commendation was made by the Local Education Secretary, Isah Muhammad, during the distribution of educational support materials to primary and junior secondary schools in the local government.
During the event held at the LEA office, head teachers received 1,000 cartons of chalk along with other instructional materials aimed at enhancing teaching and learning in classrooms.
In his remarks, Chairman Salisu Sani Garun Gabas reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting education, describing it as the foundation of community development.
He assured that more initiatives would be rolled out to improve the standard of education in Malam Madori.
He also appealed to teachers and parents to ensure that pupils attend school regularly, especially in rural communities, stressing that education is a shared responsibility necessary for securing a better future for the children.
