Chelsea wrote their name into Champions League history on Wednesday night after becoming the first team ever to have three teenage scorers in a single match, crushing a dismal Ajax side 5–1 at Stamford Bridge.

Nineteen-year-old Marc Guiu opened the scoring and briefly became Chelsea’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the competition during a chaotic spell that also saw Ajax captain Kenneth Taylor sent off.

Guiu’s record stood for just over half an hour before Estevao Willian, 18, converted the third of three first-half penalties
in the following earlier spot-kicks from Enzo Fernández and Wout Weghorst after a superb long-range strike from Moises Caicedo had added to Chelsea’s tally.

At half-time, manager Enzo Maresca introduced more youth, including forward Tyrique George, who scored just three minutes after coming on to become the third teenage scorer of the night.

Later, 17-year-old Reggie Walsh made his debut, becoming Chelsea’s youngest-ever Champions League player and the second-youngest Englishman to feature in the competition after Jack Wilshere.

Ajax, four-time European champions, endured a torrid night marked by poor discipline.

Taylor’s reckless challenge set the tone, while Weghorst’s earlier penalty was their only consolation.

He later fouled Fernández, who responded by converting from the spot on the stroke of half-time.

Moments later, another clumsy challenge this time from Youri Baas on Estevao gifted Chelsea a third penalty, which the Brazilian coolly dispatched in added time.

After George’s fifth sealed the result, Chelsea eased off, with Maresca rotating heavily and resting key players like Caicedo, Fernández, and Adarabioyo by the 65th minute.

The defeat leaves Ajax bottom of the 36-team Champions League table, having lost all three matches and gone four games without a win in all competitions.

Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to build momentum in Europe, earning back-to-back victories following their opening defeat to Bayern Munich. They next travel to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag.
