The Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Nasiru Isah Dikko (Jarma), has donated educational materials to over 250 orphans across ten wards in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.

The gesture, which aligns with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s agenda of promoting education and supporting vulnerable communities, included the distribution of textbooks and writing materials to the beneficiaries.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Dikko said the initiative reflects his personal commitment to uplifting the less privileged, particularly orphans in Tarauni.

He noted that education remains the strongest tool for empowerment and social mobility.

“We carried out this intervention so that orphans can feel supported and motivated. Education is a vital tool for life, and it is our duty to ensure these children have equal opportunities,” he stated.

He further disclosed plans to extend similar humanitarian efforts to other sectors, including healthcare, youth and women empowerment, skills acquisition, and small business support, aimed at fostering self-reliance and productivity among residents.

Dikko also expressed appreciation to Governor Yusuf and other stakeholders for their continued support, which he said has enabled him to deliver effectively on his mandate.

The beneficiaries, visibly elated, thanked the Special Adviser for the timely intervention, describing it as a major source of encouragement in their pursuit of education.
