As part of ongoing efforts to boost Nigeria’s daily crude oil output and curb economic sabotage, personnel of the Nigerian Navy attached to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Escravos in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State have dismantled six illegal refining sites.

The coordinated operation led to the seizure of over 11,000 liters of stolen crude oil stored in dug-out pits and polythene sacks at Obodo-Omadino community.

Under the leadership of Commanding Officer Navy Captain Ikenna Okoloagu, FOB Escravos also recovered additional thousands of liters of stolen crude oil and operational equipment.

Captain Okoloagu said the operation was in line with the strategic directive of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, to maintain sustained pressure on economic saboteurs.

The Nigerian Navy vowed to sustain the fight against oil theft and reiterated its zero tolerance for criminal activities in the Niger Delta region.
