A Magistrate Court Judge presiding over the trial of traffic offenders in Kano Metropolis has declared one Mr. Bashir Fagge wanted after he absconded from trial before the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) Mobile Court.

The incident occurred on 2 September 2025, when Mr. Fagge, driving a vehicle with registration number KMC 302 BD, allegedly disobeyed traffic control lights and signs, contrary to Section 16(4) (7) and (8) paragraph 12 of the KAROTA Law, 2012.

He was arraigned before the Mobile Court sitting at Ibrahim Taiwo Road by Gab Hotel Junction, Kano, but failed to continue with his trial.

In response, the presiding magistrate ordered Mr. Fagge to appear before the court on or before Tuesday, 16 September 2025, warning that failure to do so would lead to the issuance of a bench warrant for his immediate arrest.

It will be recalled that KAROTA recently introduced Mobile Courts to fast-track the trial of traffic offenders across Kano Metropolis, following the surge in violations of traffic rules that often result in injuries, loss of lives, and destruction of property.
