Kano State House Assembly has successfully approved the Supplementary Budget Into Law to the tune Two Hundred and Fifteen Billion, Three Hundred and Seventy Eight Million, Three Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Five Hundred and Forty Three Naira and Sixty Two Kobo.
Earlier, the executive Governor’s request letter was read on the floor of the chamber last time during the plenary session presided by the Rt Hon Speaker jibril Ismail Falgore.
In a Press statement released to newsmen by Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Chief Press Secretary to the Rt Hon Speaker on Monday. Falgore stated that the house has approved the sum of Two Hundred and Fifteen Billion, Three Hundred and Seventy Eight Million, Three Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Five Hundred and Forty Three Naira and Sixty Two Kobo.( 215,378,374,543.63).
While reiterating the Kano State House of Assembly ‘s commitment towards proper monitoring, Falgore assured that Legislative arms will track the implementation of the Supplementary budget through effective oversight functions and ensure that the funds allocated to each ministry and agencies are used judiciously.
After rigorous and thorough review and debates by the Kano State House of Assembly members, the Supplementary budget bill has successfully passed into law.
