To strengthen the operational efficiency of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has donated four brand-new Toyota Hilux operational vehicles to the Kano State Command of the Corps.
The keys to the vehicles were formally presented to the State Commandant, Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini, by the Commissioner for Internal Security, AVM Ibrahim Umar (rtd), who represented the Governor during the handover ceremony.
Receiving the donation, an elated Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini expressed deep appreciation to Governor Yusuf, describing the gesture as a major boost to the Corps’ operations in Kano.
“I wish to sincerely thank His Excellency, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, for this timely and remarkable support.
“The Governor has always shown commitment to the security of lives and property in Kano, and this donation is a clear testament to that noble objective,” he stated.
The Commandant further assured that the vehicles will be put to effective use to enhance patrols, surveillance, and rapid response efforts.
He pledged that under his leadership, the Corps would ensure proper maintenance of the vehicles and deploy them strategically to combat vandalism, thuggery, phone snatching, and other criminal activities across the state.
“This support will significantly enhance our ability to respond swiftly to security challenges and protect the people of Kano.
“We are truly grateful,” he added.
