A protem speaker was appointed, and an independent electoral committee was formed to oversee the fresh election process.

The harmonised national election was held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Supreme Court in Abuja.

The exercise, conducted under tight security, was witnessed by representatives from the office of the Chief Registrar and the Director of Administration of the Supreme Court.

The new executives, who emerged unopposed, were sworn in by Commissioner of Oath, Zainab Kassim, Esq.
