Kebbi Disability Commission Distributes 3,000 Bags of Grains to Vulnerable Residents

The Kebbi State Persons with Disability (PWD) Commission has distributed 3,000 bags of assorted grains to vulnerable residents in the state.

The food items were donated by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, and Kebbi State received 3,000 bags from the consignment.

The Chairman of the commission, Anas Malami-Gwandu disclosed this at the official flagg-off of distribution exercise in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

He expressed gratitude to Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for recognising and supporting persons with disabilities.

“I want to use this medium to acknowledge the support of Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, to persons with disabilities, and pray he will sustain the good tempo,” he said.

The chairman noted with satisfaction that persons with disabilities were included in the distribution of essential food items across the 21 local government areas of the state.

Malami-Gwandu commended Gov. Idris for his inclusive governance and continued commitment to the welfare of persons with disabilities in Kebbi State.

While advising the beneficiaries to put the items to proper use, the chairman urged them to support the government’s policies and programs for more dividends of democracy.
