Stallion Times

The 50th anniversary edition of the American Music Awards, which broadcast on CBS on Sunday, included performances across a wide range of genres and eras.

Green Day opened the event with their new song, “Dilemma.” Jennifer Hudson honored Whitney Houston with a tribute, and Mariah Carey celebrated her breakthrough song, “We Belong Together.” The evening was ended by Chaka Khan’s song “I’m Every Woman.”

The pre-recorded special did not present any prizes; instead, it concentrated on moments from previous years.

Stars including Jennifer Hudson, Brad Paisley, Chaka Khan, Nelly, Raye, Stray Kids, and many more enthralled the audience with their jaw-dropping performances on Sunday.

Gladys Knight, who shone in a black dazzling costume and sang her Grammy-winning classic hit Midnight Train to Georgia, opened the historic occasion. The 80-year-old legend set the tone for a night of musical celebration.
