The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed three thousand five hundred and forty-two personnel (3,542) for hitch-free Christmas and New Year celebrations in the state.
This was contained in a statement on Friday by the Commands spokesperson, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi.
According to the statement, apart from 44 Divisional Offices, officers and men were drawn from various departments and units of the command including under-cover personnel to assist in providing adequate security around Christian worshipping centers across the state, recreational spots, strategic places, etc.
“Operatives have been mobilized to work in synergy with sister traffic enforcement agencies for seamless and free flow of traffic while the festive season lasts.
“However, as the Corps maintains 24-hour surveillance and protection of critical infrastructure across nooks and crannies in the state, miscreants are strongly warned to shun causing a breach of the public peace as defaulters will be made to face the full wrath of the law,” the statement added.
