Uba Sani Announces Fresh Appointments, Urges Appointees to Serve With Fairness, Commitment

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has approved a new set of appointments into key boards, agencies, and advisory positions as part of his administration’s efforts to promote inclusive governance and strengthen public institutions.

In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, the governor said the appointments were designed to create opportunities for innovative and competent professionals to contribute to the socio-economic and political transformation of Kaduna State.

Among the major appointments, Dr. Suwaiba Shehu Ibrahim, Mni, was named Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Senior Secondary Schools Education Board. She will be joined by Hon. Nita Byack George, Hon. Monday Tela Bako, Hon. Aliyu Haruna Ahmed, and Hon. Aliyu Ibrahim as Permanent Members, with Barr. Muhammad Kabir Uthman serving as Secretary.

At the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, Hon. Phoebe Sukai Yayi and Engr. Muhammad Sulaiman were appointed Deputy Provosts for the Samarun Kataf and Soba Campuses respectively, while Barr. Abdullahi Kabir will serve as Registrar.

In the media sector, Mallam El-Said Yakubu Lere was appointed Chairman, Board of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), with Zakari Aliyu as Executive Director.

Other notable appointments include Hon. Gambo Mathew Bulus as Chairman, Kaduna State Agricultural Development Agency (KADA); Mal. Lawal Usman as Chairman, Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KSSLB); and Hon. Suleiman Ibrahim as General Manager, Kaduna State Environmental Protection Agency (KEPA).

The governor also approved the appointment of Usman Umar as Executive Director (Corporate Services), Kaduna Mining Development Company Ltd; Barr. Abdulrauf Atiku as Special Adviser on Legal Matters; and Murjanatu Sulaiman Shika as Special Adviser on Vocational Training and Skills Development.

Additionally, several Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants were appointed in areas including Citizenship and Leadership, Job Creation, Humanitarian Affairs, Industrial Training, Stakeholder Relations, Public Relations, and Research.

Governor Uba Sani congratulated all the new appointees, describing their selection as a call to selfless service. He urged them to discharge their duties with diligence, fairness, and humility, in line with his administration’s values of inclusivity, justice, and people-centered governance.

He also prayed for God’s guidance and wisdom for the appointees as they contribute to the ongoing transformation of Kaduna State.
