Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan delivered a brilliant performance on Sunday, winning her heat in the women’s 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
The reigning champion clocked an impressive 12.53 seconds, finishing comfortably ahead of her rivals and reaffirming her status as one of the frontrunners in the event.
Amusan maintained control from the start, crossing the line well clear of Bahamian hurdler Devynne Charlton, who finished second in 12.69 seconds. Italy’s Elena Carraro placed third with 12.86 seconds.
With the victory, Amusan advances to the next round in dominant fashion, drawing global attention as she continues her quest for another championship title in Tokyo.
