The Sarkin Dawaki Babba, Aminu Babba Dan Agundi, has called on Northern women to remain steadfast in upholding their cultural values and dignity while steering clear of the negative influences associated with modern-day social media.
He made the call while chairing the Northern Women Summit organized by the Northern Women Initiative in Abuja.
Dr. Aminu Babba Dan Agundi, who donated N5 million to support the Initiative, urged women to be good ambassadors of the North wherever they find themselves.
He emphasized the need for women to focus on personal development and community advancement rather than getting distracted by “the noise of modern times.”
“Women play a crucial role in shaping families and society. I urge you to continue to improve your performance, uphold your dignity, and protect the image of the entire Northern community,” he said.
The traditional leader attended the event in company of his brother, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, along with other dignitaries.
In their remarks, members of the Northern Women Initiative described Dr. Aminu Dan Agundi as a respected traditional leader, a custodian of culture, and a pillar of strength and guidance within the community.
They praised his unwavering commitment to unity, integrity, and progress, noting that his leadership continues to inspire younger generations across the region.
