The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Esodora Electronics Limited to enhance energy access in underserved and rural communities across Nigeria.
Recognizing Esodora as one of Nigeria’s emerging Renewable Energy Service Companies (RESCOs), the partnership reflects REA’s continued drive to foster public-private collaborations aimed at delivering clean, sustainable energy solutions.
“We are proud to partner with Esodora in this transformative effort. Their contributions to distributed solar deployment align with REA’s mission to unlock energy access nationwide,” an REA official said.
The MoU outlines key areas of collaboration, including accelerating rural renewable energy projects, attracting private sector investment through technical support, expanding clean energy initiatives aligned with Nigeria’s SDG7 commitments, and boosting local energy ecosystems through innovation and capacity building.
Esodora’s Managing Director, Ifeanyi Egwu, described the partnership as a milestone in the company’s mission to power Nigeria sustainably. “This alliance validates our commitment to powering the future of Nigeria — sustainably and inclusively,” he said.
Since its founding in 2021, Esodora has deployed over 10 megawatts of clean energy, impacting more than 2,000 homes and businesses across the country.
