The Chairman of Rano Local Government in Kano, Muhammad Naziru, has flagged off the construction of a 4km road project in Munture, Rurum Sabon Gari ward.
The road project will involve several stages including excavation and clearing, mounting, fine grading, base aggregate, and paving asphalt.
This project, which was awarded at the cost of N500 million, aims to enhance and facilitate the transportation of agricultural produce and facilitate movement of goods and services.
Upon completion, the project will improve the social and economic development of the area.
The Council Chairman emphasized that human and capital development are top priorities for Rano Local Government.
He also announced plans to construct 30 hand-pump boreholes across the ten wards of the council.
The Councillor representing Rurum Sabongari, Abdurrauf Saleh Munture, thanked the Chairman for executing the viable development project within a short timeframe.
Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Yahya na Uwani and Sulaiman Danminci, expressed gratitude to the state government and the Chairman for the dividends of democracy.
