The Director-General of the Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA), Dr. Fateema Abubakar Abdullahi (Amneef), has commended the Aminu Magashi Foundation (AMF) for donating food items to the Dawakin Kudu Vocational Rehabilitation Training Centre in Kano.

Dr. Fateema made the remarks while witnessing the official handover of the items to the management of the centre.

She described the gesture as timely and impactful, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, when support for vulnerable persons is most needed.

The Director-General also applauded the efforts of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for facilitating the evacuation of over 200 mentally ill persons from the streets of Kano and ensuring they receive proper medical treatment and rehabilitation at D/Kudu centre.

She called on other well-meaning individuals and non-governmental organisations to complement the state government’s social protection initiatives by extending similar support to vulnerable groups across the state.

In his remarks, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba pledged to replicate the gesture in 12 additional rehabilitation centres across Kano State. The donated items included bags of maize, rice, and cooking oil.

Also speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hajiya Amina Yar’gaya, and the Executive Secretary of Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Isyaku Kubarachi, commended the AMF for its generosity and commitment to humanitarian service.
