Paris Saint-Germain cruised into the final of the FIFA Club World Cup with a dominant 4-0 win over Real Madrid in Wednesday’s semi-final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.
The French champions stunned the largely pro-Madrid crowd early, with Fabian Ruiz and Ousmane Dembele scoring within the first nine minutes.
Ruiz added his second before half-time, and Goncalo Ramos sealed the emphatic victory with a late fourth.
PSG will now face Chelsea in Sunday’s final as they aim to cap off a historic season.
The Parisian side has already secured the Ligue 1 title and their first-ever UEFA Champions League crown.
“This is a special season and a special moment,” said PSG manager Luis Enrique after the match.
“We deserved to win.
Now we focus on one final step against a strong Chelsea side. We want to make history for our club—then take a well-earned break.”
Victory over Chelsea would mark the pinnacle of PSG’s most successful campaign to date.
