The Katsina State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (KTPCACC) has accused a secondary school principal of illegally selling government property worth millions of naira, as part of a sweeping investigation into alleged fraud involving over ₦188 million in state funds.
According to the commission, four principals in Danja, Rimaye, Maigora and Kurami are being probed for mismanaging ₦6.6 million in school funds, with one implicated in the unlawful disposal of school assets.
The investigation also uncovered alleged diversion of ₦46 million in subsidised fertilizer distribution by councillors and Community Development Officers, while ward officials in Musawa, Malumfashi, Matazu, Faskari and Funtua reportedly siphoned amounts ranging from ₦52,000 to ₦25 million.
Some have confessed and begun repayments.
In a separate case, the Department of Banking and Finance was linked to the misappropriation of ₦136 million, of which ₦70 million has been recovered, leaving ₦34 million outstanding.
KTPCACC Secretary Jamilu Abdulsalam pledged that the commission will pursue every legal avenue to ensure accountability and full recovery of public funds.
