The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, has scheduled 28 to 30 April 2026, for the written examination of applicants seeking enlistment as Police Constables.
The examination, which covers both General Duty and Specialist categories, will be conducted at designated centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
In Kano State, the exercise will take place at North-West University Kano, Main Campus, Muhammadu Buhari Way, the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, only candidates who successfully passed the earlier physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate.
Qualified applicants have been directed to visit the official recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their examination invitation cards, which contain details of their test date, time, and venue.
Candidates are required to come along with a pen, their National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission with a clear photograph, and a printed copy of their examination invitation card. The stipulated dress code is white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes.
The PSC reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free, warning that any involvement in job racketeering, scams, or financial inducements would result in severe legal consequences.
The Kano State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, urged all eligible candidates in the state to adhere strictly to the guidelines.
Applicants were also advised to arrive early at their examination centres and maintain orderly conduct throughout the exercise.
