NULGE Commends Council Chairman for Donating N3m to Workers

To promote a smooth and conducive environment for workers during the holy month of Ramadan, the Chairman of Malam Madori Local Government Council, Salisu Sani Garin-Gabas, has donated 3 million Naira to support the local government staff.

He said the gesture was to promote a good relationship between the workers and the elected officeholders in their day-to-day activities.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Malam Madori Branch, Comrade Aminu Tafida, disclosed on Wednesday while commending the gesture.

He expressed gratitude for the rehabilitation of the local government secretariat and the uninterrupted portable drinking water powered by solar energy.

During his tenure, Garin-Gabas employed over 50 casual staff to fill existing vacancies, while 30 permanent and pensionable staff were promoted to the next level.
