The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched a public awareness campaign on various government programs and policies in Birniwa Local Government Area of Jigawa State on Saturday.
According to the Community Mobilisation Officer, Gambo Garba, the sensitization exercise is being carried out across every community in Birniwa to encourage residents to adopt and benefit from ongoing government initiatives.
Garba explained that the campaign focuses on critical areas, including government policies and programs, national identity registration, security awareness, flood mitigation, and the campaign against school dropouts and extremist practices.
He further disclosed that the NOA convened a stakeholders’ meeting with members of the School-Based Management Committee (SBMC), where they were enlightened on the dangers of “students signing out” and other extreme behaviours that continue to affect public schools.
