Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini has assumed duty as the newly posted state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano.
Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini is an indigene of Katsina State from Dayi, Malumfashi local government.
In a brief ceremony on Friday witnessed by the management staff and representative of NSCDC’s Zone 12 Zonal Commander, the Command’s mantle of leadership was formally handed over to Abdulmumini by the outgoing state Commandant, Mohammed Lawal Falala.
In his handing over remark, the outgoing state Commandant thanked God Almighty for allowing him to see through a successful stay as state Commandant of the Corps Kano command/
He implored officers and men of the command to give the newly deployed state Commandant maximum cooperation to move the Corps forward in the state.
Shortly after assuming office, the new Commandant, Shafi’u Abdulmumini solicited more support and cooperation of management and personnel of the command, as an impetus for achieving greater success moving forward.
According to him, Kano is his second home, therefore the Corps under his new leadership in the state will vigorously pursue policies of ensuring the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure as well as securing the lives and property of the good people of Kano.
