New Islamic Year: Kebbi Declares Friday Public Holiday

Kebbi State Government has declared Friday, 27 June 2025, as a public holiday in celebration of the Islamic New Year, 1447 AH.

This was announced in a statement issued on Thursday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishment, Pension and Training, Malami A. Maiyama, in Birnin Kebbi.

According to the statement, the holiday is intended to allow public servants to mark the beginning of the new Islamic calendar year.

“Normal work will resume on Monday, 30 June 2025. All concerned are expected to comply accordingly.”
